Companies that make, import or sell tyres, plus those who make, import or sell other vehicles and machinery than cars fitted with new tyres should become members of the tyre industry's recycling system. Svensk Däckåtervinning AB is responsible for ensuring the obligations of such companies are fulfilled, including reporting to the Environmental Protection Agency according to regulation SFS 1994:1236. All such reporting is collective for all member companies, without disclosing the details of any individual company to any third party. No membership fee is payable.
Only manufacturers/importers able to fulfil the requirements of REACH can be members of the SDAB.
